When should I take my child to dentist for the first time?
So, from my professional experience I would recommend you to start at the age of 2, or even earlier.
That’s the best time to start.
It is very important for child to get nice impression from his first touch with dentistry, so no rush, no stress, just smiles and positive emotions.
Obviously, in this age there is not gonna be any decay.
Well, some sort of genetic issues with teeth may take place, that happens sometime.
So the first visit to dentist for the child should be all about fun.

As a parent, you might have many questions to doctor, so not to miss anything important write the list in advance.
What are the questions you might want to ask your dentist during this visit?
-How do I make sure that my child is getting enough nutrition for oral health?

And sure, many others. So think about it in advance, and as I said, you better to write the list of questions at home not to forget anything.

Next, what to Expect From Your Child’s First Dental Visit?
As I told before, the main aim of first visit is to meet the dentist in friendly atmosphere and get to know each other.
That’s why the first appointment will be relatively short.
If the child is old enough, they can sit in dental chair, at least to give it a try.
The dentist will inspect the teeth for signs of decay.
If there are no teeth, dentist can take a look at gums and check for teeth that are about to erupt.
You might wonder when your child will receive their first dental X-ray.
Most kids have their first set of slides taken by the time they’re 5 or 6 years old.
Children who are at a higher risk of developing dental problems may have X-rays taken earlier.
